Every school holiday

Holiday Clubs

Every school holiday at Le Rocquier and La Moye, for children aged 4 to 12. Our aim is simple: as much fun as possible in a safe environment, and plenty of activity while school is out.

Fun-filled camps, every school break

School holidays made for fun

Our multi-sport and activity camps at Le Rocquier in the East and La Moye in the West welcome children from Reception, aged 4, to 12 years old. Both camps follow the same approach, with the same mix of activities and care, so you can choose whichever location suits your family best.

Sports coaching

Football, cricket, hockey, tennis, dodgeball, athletics and more, led by our sports coaches.

Games and adventures

Scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, Nerf wars, woods adventures and relay races, run by our support staff.

Creative and quieter time

Lego, drawing competitions, talent shows, marble runs and musical statues for when legs need a rest.

A welfare team all day

Welfare staff who do not coach. Their only job is making sure every child is happy and settled.

Our philosophy is simple: children are on their school holidays, so they should have plenty of choice and fun! We give them opportunities to try something new, learn different skills and make friends, with a wide range of activities to choose from.

There’s plenty for sports lovers, including football, boxing, dodgeball, tennis and lots more. Beyond sport, children can enjoy woodland adventures, scooter courses, Nerf games, talent shows, dance competitions and plenty of other activities. Whether they want to get stuck into a favourite or give something different a go, there’s lots to keep them smiling.

A little extra care

Both camps have dedicated Welfare Teams who don’t coach or lead sports sessions. Their sole focus is making sure children are well looked after, happy and supported throughout the day.

Whether your child needs help settling in, a quiet moment or someone to talk to, our Welfare Team is there for them. We’ll always call home if your child hasn’t settled, so if you haven’t heard from us, take that as a reassuring sign that they’ve settled in and are enjoying their day.

At Le Rocquier we have a large playing field, an outdoor ball court, a large woodland area, an outdoor tennis court, an indoor gymnasium and an indoor sports hall, plus school classrooms and the canteen for eating and our more relaxed activities. Sunshine or torrential rain, the weather does not affect our day.

At La Moye we are just as well equipped. We have an all-weather pitch, a brand new outdoor climbing frame, an indoor hall, the children's library, classrooms, a woodland area and a playground: the right mix of active, creative and exploratory spaces for every child.

No two days are ever the same, but this is what a standard day looks like.

Arrival
Free play to help children settle in, catch up with friends and make new ones.
Morning
Two activity sessions, with a break in between.
Lunchtime
Lunch followed by free play before the afternoon activities begin.
Afternoon
Two more activity sessions, with a break in between.
Late pick-up
Children staying until 5:15pm enjoy free play to finish the day.

What to bring

Clothing
Weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable for getting active and spending time outdoors.
Food
A packed lunch and plenty of snacks. Children are often much more active at camp than on a normal school day, so packing a little extra food always helps.

A refillable water bottle to keep them hydrated throughout the day.

Looking for our Jersey Bulls camp?

We also run a Jersey Bulls football camp at Victoria College Prep. It offers a different experience from our multi-sport and activity camps, with its own programme and coaching team. Visit our Jersey Bulls camp page for full details.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The things we get asked most about holiday club, and the honest answers.
How are the days split up into sports sessions?

After free play on arrival, children have two activity sessions in the morning with a break in between, then lunch followed by free play, and two more activity sessions in the afternoon.

Are the children split into age groups?

Yes. We normally run three groups: 4 and 5 years, 6 and 7 years, and 8 and over. We would sometimes move a child up or down if we felt it would benefit them, for example a 7 year old who is physically or technically ahead of their age group might join the 8 and over group.

Do you provide food?

No. Please send a packed lunch with plenty of snacks and a refillable water bottle. We have a fridge on site if needed. We do hand out the odd sweet through the day for good behaviour and general helpfulness.

What does my child need to wear and bring?

Whatever they are comfortable running around in. Layers work best so children can dress up or down. The only items we insist on are shin pads for football sessions and a bottle of water for every session. We provide everything else: rackets, footballs, cricket bats and so on.

Can I pay by the hour instead of the sessions listed?

No. Our sessions are reasonably comprehensive and cover most working hours, and our staffing is based on the number of children booked into those times. Dates, times and prices are on our booking site.

I am on Income Support. How do I book?

There is a different way of booking if you are on Income Support. Please email accounts@sportsbugjersey.co.uk before you book.
