A dedicated welfare team at both venues, there only to make sure every child is happy, settled and safe.

As Sports Bug grew, we recognised the need for extra care alongside our activities and introduced our dedicated Welfare Teams in late 2022. They’ve since become a big part of what we do.
While our coaches deliver the fun sessions, our welfare staff focus on helping children feel happy, well looked after and comfortable, making friends and enjoying their time with us.
We’ve had lovely feedback from families about this extra care. If your child is struggling to settle or enjoy their day, our Welfare Team will call home to talk things through. There’s usually no need for an update once they’re happily settled into camp.
We want children to feel included, enjoy themselves and get the most out of Sports Bug.
As one of Jersey’s largest holiday club providers, our camps are busy, lively places. Many children, including those with additional needs, thrive in this environment. Others may benefit from a quieter setting, smaller groups or more individual support.
If your child has additional support needs, please talk to us before booking. We’ll discuss what helps them, the support we can offer and whether our camp is the right fit, keeping their wellbeing and the wellbeing of the children around them in mind.
We also work closely with Jersey Child Care Trust to explore additional support, including funded one-to-one support where available.
Children’s safety and wellbeing are central to our work. You can read more about our approach in our Policies and Procedures, or contact us with any questions or concerns.
